- Familiarity with Teradata-to-PostgreSQL migration challenges.
- Good training, documentation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Job Summary
We are seeking a PostgreSQL Engineer for a hybrid role in the Detroit area. This position requires strong expertise in PostgreSQL administration, tuning, and troubleshooting, as well as experience with Teradata-to-PostgreSQL migrations. The ideal candidate will be the primary contact for incidents and service requests, providing support to development teams and guiding Teradata-experienced teams on PostgreSQL usage.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for PostgreSQL incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshoot issues related to query performance, connection problems, and data anomalies.
- Assist developers in debugging functions, procedures, and triggers.
- Guide teams experienced in Teradata on how to effectively use PostgreSQL.
- Conduct Q&A sessions and create helpful documentation and quick guides.
- Highlight and explain key differences between Teradata and PostgreSQL.
