Location: Parsippany, NJ
Duration: 6 Month Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Application Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications using GCP's suite of services. This role is focused on application architecture and does not include infrastructure setup.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in application development and GCP-native services, and is capable of performing hands-on proof-of-concept (POC) implementations when needed to validate design choices and guide development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design end-to-end application solution architectures using native GCP services.
• Architect event-driven, microservices-based systems leveraging:
• Pub/Sub for asynchronous messaging
• Cloud Functions and Cloud Run for compute
• Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery for data ingestion and analytics
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, API design, and event-based systems.
• Strong understanding of GCP database offerings and their use cases i.e. .spanner, Alloy DB etc.
• Lead and execute hands-on POCs to demonstrate feasibility of architectural solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guide implementation aligned with architectural best practices.
• Recommend the most appropriate GCP-native services for scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
• Document architecture patterns, reusable components, and deployment strategies.
• Contribute to application modernization using serverless and container-based solutions.
• Align solutions with business goals, security, and operational standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
