Candidate Requirement: South Carolina residents only. No relocation allowed.
Position Overview
The State of South Carolina's Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is seeking two (2) experienced Scrum Masters to facilitate the adoption and application of agile methodologies across project and operational teams. This is a newly created position designed to support enhanced delivery and efficiency within state-level IT initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum activities including:
- Daily stand-up meetings
- Sprint planning
- Sprint reviews
- Sprint retrospectives
- Ensure adherence to Scrum framework and agile principles across teams
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular feedback and retrospective sessions
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support teams in delivering high-quality products and solutions on time
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Scrum Master
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with Azure DevOps
- General conceptual understanding of programming and database querying
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM))
- Experience working in government environments is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred
Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
